About Me

My name is Fionnah McKechnie and I'm an Art Director with several years of experience on both client and agency-side. In November of 2022, I completed my Bachelors degree from Humber College, majoring in Creative Advertising, specializing in Art Direction. I'm lucky that previous to my time learning, I had one year experience in marketing at a local tech-security company, so I had gotten ahead of the curve as I was then employed as a work-study graphic designer for Humber College. This continued to propel my career in exposure to photoshoots, designing OOH, etc. Because of this, I was able to double my exposure in a short period of time.  Eleven months before graduation, I landed a full time position as a Jr. Art Director at an advertising agency based out of Calgary, AB. I went on to spend two years gaining valuable experience such as speaking directly with clients, executing campaigns, designing websites, social media posts, and conceptualizing various forms of creative executions. Since launching my career in agricultural advertising in 2022, I’m both proud and humbled to say every year since, work I’ve contributed to has won at Best of CAMAs (Canada's agri-food marketing industry’s “Academy Awards.”). 2023: COYF Flip The Narrative Campaign (WS) 2024: Red Deer is Going Orange x4 + Best In Show (UFA) 2025: Farmer’s Day + Best In Show (UFA) If you're interested in hiring me, check out my Services page.
